-Keliaujantis dienoraštis - MY idea of a travelling notebook was described here in 2010.

In 2011 August, I was addressed by a young teacher Jolanda from the Netherlands who got interested in the “project” and wanted to join in making and exchanging the notebooks.

Discussing the details and our expectations took approximately a week and finally we decided - we had about 2 months to fill in the book (the size of 60-70 sheets), send it on 26th September in order to receive it on a special for us occasion - 5th October -Teachers’ Day.

I really enjoyed making this travelling book, though it was time-consuming I must admit. I put all my heart and shared different kind of ideas. We are supposed to ship the notebooks this week!

And finally… I received a travelling notebook from Jolanda! A thick notebook full of photos, stickers, ideas, descriptions. Different from mine, of course, but so similar in the way of creativity…

I enjoyed reading it and there some teacher ideas that I’m going to use. By the way, did you know issuu.com - a website  full of free magazines? Check it out!

It was a great experience to exchange notebooks and I hope I’ll have another chance to do it  with another creative  person from a close or distant country. I must confess one thing - I felt more inner satisfaction making a book and “giving myself” to a person than receiving it. (Jolanda, I hope you’ll understand me correctly - I’m very grateful to you for your notebook :) ).

What do you think about travelling notebooks?

Hi (LABAS),

I’m  an English teacher from Lithuania. I’m looking for a teacher from every continent of the world who would like to create (fill in with entries, photos, ideas, magazine cutouts, etc.) and exchange a notebook with me (for me). I would do the same for you.

The “content” of the entry could be discussed. You would  say what you want to see in the notebook created for you (culture, traditional/local things, creative tips for lessons or events, personal development ideas or inspirational examples/thoughts)I would share my expectations (but they would be similar to the above noted).

If you are interested we could do a trial version (thinner notebook) for 1-2 months , send them to eacher other to see if we are going the “right” way and then to create a thicker notebook which would comprise a longer period.

Here you can see some preparations for my notebook for a teacher from Holland (I’m going to include many things: inspiring and personal photos, stickers, poems, sayings, jokes, descriptions about my country, myself, creative teaching ideas and many other things)

I hope that THAT  creative personality are you! Aren’t you?

P.S. More visual examples of the notebook
